How billing works
We charge at your threshold
When your balance reaches your billing threshold, we charge your card on file for the accrued amount.
Frequently asked questions
What is the billing threshold, and does it change?
What is the billing threshold, and does it change?
Your threshold is the balance at which we charge your card. It starts at 50 → 500 → $1,000. A higher threshold simply means fewer, larger charges.
How much does a lead cost?
How much does a lead cost?
Final expense leads start at a $17 floor. You set a max bid per campaign, and our second-price auction usually settles below your max — so you often pay less. See Campaign basics for how bidding works.
What happens if a payment fails?
What happens if a payment fails?
We use automatic smart retries to recover failed charges. If a charge can’t be collected, your account may move to past due and lead delivery pauses until you update your card under Billing.

My bank asked me to verify a charge (3-D Secure)
Some card charges require extra verification from your bank (3-D Secure / SCA). When that happens, you may be prompted to confirm the charge. Approving it keeps your account in good standing and leads flowing.
Are leads refundable?
Are leads refundable?
No. A delivered, exclusive lead is the product, so leads are non-refundable. The exception is our quality policy: verified invalid leads may receive a credit after review (see below).
How are quality credits applied?
How are quality credits applied?
When an invalid lead is verified under our lead-quality policy, the credit is netted against your next charge automatically. If a credit is larger than your current balance, the remainder carries forward to future charges.
How are disputes handled?
How are disputes handled?
Each sold lead is backed by an evidence pack — the consumer’s consent certificate, IP address, timestamp, and a recording where applicable — which we use to resolve chargebacks and disputes.
Where is my card stored?
Where is my card stored?
Your card is stored securely by our PCI-DSS Level 1 payment processor. Writesure never stores your full card details on its own servers.
When do I add a card?
When do I add a card?
After your account is approved. Linking a card doesn’t charge anything — there’s no upfront deposit or authorization hold. You can review or replace the card on file any time under Billing, as long as you don’t have an outstanding balance.
You stay in control of spend through your max bid and daily cap on each campaign. Lower either one to slow down; pause a campaign to stop entirely.
